Because there are so many different types of curls, curly hair is broken down into different curly hair types. Within the Curly Girl Method, they are classified into numbers from 1 to 4.\u00a0<\/p>

Number 1 is straight hair, so we’ll leave that out of this article. The numbers 2, 3 and 4 indicate your curl type: 2 stands for wavy, 3 for curly and 4 for coily.\u00a0<\/p>

You can also have a combination of two curl types that are close together. The letters A, B and C indicate how tight your curls are coiled.\u00a0<\/p>

Below we give tips for each hair type for products that best suit it.<\/p>

Hair type 2<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Hair type 2 is wavy or wavy hair. Think of bendable and flexible hair, the texture can vary from fine to thick, and has a distinct S-pattern. <\/p>

With hair type 2, you prefer to use airy products with a light hold, such as a mousse. Light products that do not make your hair heavy work best for your hair. <\/p>

Therefore, do not use a gel, as it is too heavy for fine hair.<\/p>\n

Hair type 3 is called curly or curly hair, and is spiral shaped. The curls range from loose, bouncy loops to tight, springy corkscrews that shine but can also frizz quickly. <\/p>

So use products that moisturize your hair, define curls and reduce frizz, such as a gel.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Hair type 4 is usually called coily, afro hair or frizzy hair. It is naturally very dry and spongy in texture. <\/p>

Afro hair can be soft and fine, but also thick and rough. Use products that intensely moisturize your hair, such as conditioners that give your hair a slip, a butter, cream or gel.<\/p>\n
