A shampoo bar is a solid shampoo, a special block specifically designed for your hair. Because all unnecessary ingredients like water and preservatives have been removed, it’s not only better for your hair but also much more compact. Shampoo bars are available for all hair types, from bars with oat milk and honey for frizzy and curly hair to\u00a0<\/span>shampoo specifically for oily hair<\/span><\/a>\u00a0.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>

Make sure your hands are thoroughly wet, rub the shampoo bar between your hands or directly into your wet hair, thoroughly massage the lather through your hair, and then rinse. You can also extend your shower routine with a conditioner or body bar. Store the bars in a dry place and let your hair air-dry, using a cold hairdryer or by wrapping it in a T-shirt. The\u00a0<\/span>Curly Girl Method<\/span><\/a>\u00a0avoids sulfates, parabens, silicones, and drying alcohols. These ingredients can, of course, be found in a shampoo bar. But good news: Shampoo Bars’ Vanilla shampoo and conditioner are both Curly Girl approved! The cleansers in the shampoo are considered mild by the Curly Girl community, and no drying alcohols are used. Also, when choosing your shampoo bar, don’t be fooled by the ingredient behentrimonium methosulfate. Despite the word “sulfate,” it’s not a sulfate, but a natural ingredient.<\/span><\/p>

The shampoo bar is easy to order through the Shampoo Bars website and is both a sustainable and (in the end) more affordable option. My first impression was immediately positive. It’s clear that attention has been paid to the packaging and that sustainability is a key consideration in every aspect. The packaging is made of recyclable cardboard, and the filler chips are composed of natural raw materials, making them compostable and 100% soluble.<\/span><\/p>

Both bars smell wonderful and are easy to hold. The shampoo bar lathers well and leaves a refreshingly clean feeling. The conditioner bar takes longer to soften. So, I chose to rub it directly into my wet hair, which resulted in silky-soft hair, and I could easily detangle it with my fingers. After drying, my hair felt clean and nourished. The vanilla scent of the bars was still subtle.<\/span><\/p>

After showering, it’s important to store the bars in a dry place. Finding a good spot proved quite challenging. A good tip is to think about this before you buy your shampoo bar. A good option is using a soap dish or soap tray. Or choose a\u00a0<\/span>storage bag<\/span><\/a>\u00a0, like the one Shampoo Bars made of ramie fabric.<\/span><\/p>
