Bouclème was founded in 2015 by curl expert and curly girl Michele Scott-Lynch. After visiting a salon in the Big Apple during her trip to New York, she realized that curly hair was something to celebrate, not to be ashamed of.
When she returned to London, she was determined to develop products so women, just like her, could wear their natural curls with pride. And there was Bouclème!
Besides its passion for curls, the brand is also passionate about the planet. The packaging is biodegradable.

Does Bouclème work for my hair type?
Bouclème products are specially designed for people with different hair types, from thick curls to loose waves. This doesn’t mean every curly girl or boy can use Bouclème hair products.
It could very well be that someone with wavy or curly hair will not get the same results as someone with frizzy hair.
However, when it comes to hair cleansers, a distinction is made between the traditional cleanser and an extra moisturizing cleanser.
The extra hydrating cleanser is for people with thin hair, for people who suffer from damaged hair or for people with slightly wavy hair.
It’s good to know that some ingredients like shea butter, castor oil, and coconut oil can make a product heavy. If one of the first five ingredients on the list is a heavy oil,
the product will be heavy and less suitable for wavy hair and some curly heads, but very suitable for people with frizzy hair, for example.
That’s why Bouclème offers different types of products such as a curl conditioner, curl defining gel, curl cream, moisturizing cleanser and hair cleansers.
