Jessicurl is a haircare brand founded by Jess McGuinty for various curl types. In 2002, Jess McGuinty began her search for the right haircare for her curls.
Puberty had changed young Jess’s hair immensely, and no one, including herself, knew what to do with it. Her curls grew and became increasingly large, leading Jess to be called mushroom-headed, egg-headed, frizzy-headed, and helmet-headed.
“This has to change,” thought Jess McGuinty at the age of fourteen. During her search, she saw how easy it was to make your own gel. She shared her recipe in a curling community and received enthusiastic responses. Rockin’ Ringlets Styling Potion was born. The birth of Jessicurl with its many benefits!
What is Jessicurl?
Jess McGuinty wants every curly girl and boy to be proud of their natural hair. That’s why, through years of research, she’s developed products that work well on curly hair and are also delightfully scented.

Does Jessicurl work for my hair type?
The Jessicurl brand is specifically designed for people with curly hair. But that doesn’t mean every curly girl or boy can use Jessicurl hair products.
It could very well be that someone with wavy or curly hair will not get the same results as someone with frizzy hair.
For example, the Jessicurl’s Hair Cleansing Crème is a mild cleansing moisturizing shampoo that is best suited for thicker, drier hair that needs more hydration.
The Jessicurl Gentle Lather Shampoo is also a gentle cleansing shampoo that won’t damage your curls. It cleanses your hair and prevents the stripping of natural oils. It also provides the nourishment and hydration your hair needs.

It’s good to know that some ingredients like shea butter, castor oil, and coconut oil can make a product heavy. If one of the first five ingredients on the list is a heavy oil, the product will be heavy and less suitable for wavy hair and some curly heads, but very suitable for people with frizzy hair, for example.
